Out of Hibernation
May. 15th, 2008 09:56 amSpring is finally here. For real, not just a warm day or two and then back to the 50s. That combined with my doctor's advice to lose a little weight has got me coming out of hibernation. I've already been ramping up my activity over the last month: walking to work (1 mile each way), biking downtown, gardening when the weather allows. But this morning I actually got up early and worked out. It seems I'm not as out of shape as I thought -- while I couldn't do all the moves on the video, the pace didn't burn me out.
And now my husband, who has been running on the treadmill after work for 2 weeks, has decided he wants to do Couch-to-5k. Except that he seems to think it's a way to invigorate a walk, while I see it as training for a 5k race. He wants to do it together, so this should be interesting. I've never seen Drew run for fun.
